Positron breaks the broadband barrier for its rural customers »

California October 9, 2009 — Positron Access Solutions Inc. announced today that their Aktino products have been approved by the Rural Utilities Service (RUS), which provides programs to finance rural America’s telecommunications infrastructure. The committee has determined that the Aktino product line is approved for use on telecommunication systems of rural development (RD) borrowers.

The RUS is expected to distribute a significant amount of the Broadband Stimulus Funding for rural broadband projects. Carriers applying for Stimulus funding can utilize the Positron copper products to deliver broadband widely to a very high percentage of their customer base with significantly less capital, thus leveraging their existing copper infrastructure...
